   " The bees kept by Kim are known and loved creatures! We did not know what to expect, but I was so excited to try on beekeeping suits, learn about the hive community, and see in real life how bees operate. 

     We put on the suits, and ventured into her backyard to explore two very different hives. Kim taught us about their personalities, the queen making, the seasonal concerns, and why bee keeping can become a lifestyle. 

     I was hoping to learn about bees, make a new connection, explore a new hobby, and fall in love with nature. Thank you so much Kim! "

     " Boost the Bees was such an amazing experience! 

     I am a Lead Teacher at The Joshua School whose mission is committed to helping individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities attain the highest quality of life. 

     In the transition program, we work on developing vocational skills for life after TJS. One of my students' goals was to explore different vocational sites to learn more about future potential jobs. 

     Kim welcomed us with open arms and provided information about the job tasks, bees, honey, and so much more! It was such a memorable moment and my student LOVED everything about it! "

     "We had Kim come talk to our Girl Scout Daisy troop about Bees and their importance in our world for Earth Day. 

     She was absolutely fantastic at keeping the attention of 5- and 6-year-olds as well as keeping them on task while answering questions. Her props were very informative and fascinating. 

     I only wish we had had more time (we only had 30 min of meeting) as she had so much great information to share. 

     I definitely recommend her as a speaker. My parents are asking for an adult presentation one day too! "

    • This hive is going into winter in 1.5 deeps. They're fighters and are always surprising me with their resilience. 




    This is "Corner Bliss" - these bees were rescued from a Cottonwood tree in 2022!

    • This little Cottonwood tree hive survived their first winter and did a great job expanding their population throughout the year. They're going into this winter in 2 deeps.


    This is our strongest hive "Jamima" - they know how to jam!

    • This hive produced bees like crazy this year and almost 5 gallons of honey, YUM! Keep on jammin' Jamima!
    • They're going into this winter in 2 deeps.
